At least two people have died after a shooting in Adams County on Thursday afternoon, according to investigators.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations confirmed it has been called in to investigate a double homicide.
The shooting happened near Sixth Street in Manchester, Ohio on Thursday.
According to BCI, the Adams County sheriff requested investigators from the BCI Crime Scene Unit and Special Investigations Unit to investigate the double homicide.
At this time, it is not known what led up to the incident. BCI was also unable to confirm if more than two people were shot.
In a post to social media on Thursday night, the Maysville Police Department said they are working with Ohio authorities, along with the Mason County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police to locate a suspect who is “armed and dangerous.”
Police confirmed to WLWT that the search is related to the shooting in Adams County.
The suspect is known to be in the Maysville and Mason County area.
