Police arrested 21-year-old Claytiana Bolar of in connection with a homicide that occurred in the 5100 block of Greer.
Officers received a call for a shooting and upon arrival, they discovered the victim inside a parked black Nissan SUV, suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The suspect returned to the scene and was taken into custody without incident.
Police media advisory has the victim listed as a white female “jane doe”, however multiple social media post from friends and family have identified the deceased as a woman in her 20’s by the name of Britney Staten.
The Circuit Attorney’s Office issued one count of 2nd degree murder and Armed Criminal Action.
