At approximately 5:30 PM, one of our Officers was flagged down at 2800 S. Garnett by a victim who said they had just been robbed at gunpoint.

The victim stated the two suspects pointed an AK pistol and a Glock at him and his passenger and stole over $2,000 in cash. The suspects were driving a Nissan Pathfinder.

Officers quickly converged on the area and, with the help of RTIC, located the suspect vehicle turning north on 129th E Ave from E 11th St.

K-9 Officer attempted a traffic stop, but the suspects led Officers on a slow-speed pursuit through the neighborhood.

The suspects eventually stopped near their home after encouragement from family members.

A high-risk traffic stop was conducted, and the suspects, 19-year-old Marvin Macias and 18-year-old Michael Gonzalez, were taken into custody.

A search of the vehicle found four firearms, three semi-automatic pistols and an AK-style pistol, along with approximately $2,500 in cash. The victims positively identified the suspects.

Macias and Gonzalez were booked into David L. Moss for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Great work by our officers for their quick response and teamwork in apprehending these suspects and recovering the stolen property.
