Apple has released an urgent security update (February 2026) to fix a “zero-day” vulnerability
Published by RawNews1st
The upgrade, iOS 26.3, fixes 39 security vulnerabilities that could enable hackers to get private details, crash apps, or seize device control, either through physical access or via malicious files and websites.
While all 39 issues are corrected, Apple emphasized a major zero-day vulnerability in the Dynamic Link Editor, or dyld, which governs how apps operate on iPhones. Security researchers explained dyld as “the doorman for your iPhone,” since each app must go through it before running, and the system usually keeps apps separated from personal information.
This flaw enables attackers to bypass these protections and execute malicious code before security methods can intervene. Apple mentioned, “Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals on versions of iOS before iOS 26.”
Apple has reinforced dyld and other vulnerabilities with stronger protections to prevent apps from escaping restrictions, stop memory errors, and restrict unauthorized access to private details. Installing the update immediately is important for safeguarding both devices and sensitive information.
