Another “Shelter In Place” Alert now in Bucks County. This morning it’s for Newtown Township where they have barricade situation.
Police now evacuating homes surrounding house they believe barricaded man may be inside.
This is believed to be someone who works in law enforcement & police asked for commanding officers from his agency to come to the scene. Sunday services at church close by canceled.
Newtown Twp Police Chief John Hearn says this incident began when a woman called 911 at 7:39 am to report she was assaulted by a man armed with a handgun.
The woman is now safe. Man will be charged with assaulting the woman & related charges , Chief Hearn says.
