Compared to last year, 2021’s been relatively quiet when it comes to the Yeezy Boost 380. We saw the release of a billion different variants in 2020, so we were pretty shocked when we heard that the Yeezy Boost 380 “Stone Salt” was in the works. With that said, we’re now taking an on-foot look at the upcoming colourway thanks to these brand new shots from sneaker insider @yankeekicks!
What can only be described as a darker version of the “Mist“, the “Stone Salt” features a grey-ish beige Primeknit upper with khaki tones throughout. Mesh panelling arrives on the lateral and medial side panels for the ultimate breathing experience, while Kanye West’s newly-developed Yeezy lacing system makes a comeback here. While a lot of sneakerheads aren’t big fans of this setup, we can’t help but appreciate how easy it is to get the perfect fit. To add to this there’s a more traditional pair of laces in the box so if you’re not a fan then they’ve got you covered.
Shifting your focus down below, you’ll find a crisp off-white midsole that’s houses a chunky bed of adidas Boost. More comfortable than the 350 V2, you really need to try it out to believe it.
Landing sometime in October this year, the adidas Yeezy Boost 380 “Stone Salt” might not be for everyone but it’s a solid sneaker. Let us know if you’ll be adding these to your autumn rotation, and in related news, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Mono Cinder” is rumoured to be extremely limited!
