An elderly man allegedly shot and killed another man during a fight in the Bridgeport neighborhood on Tuesday morning.
The 76-year-old was arguing with a man in his 50s when their argument turned physical around 9:40 a.m. in the 3100 block of South May Street, according to police.
According to police, the elderly man, who has a FOID card, then shot the man in the head. According to police, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, the 76-year-old was arrested and taken to the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center for evaluation.
There were no other injuries reported.
