An early morning shooting at Hartford multi-family home has claimed the lives of 2 people

Just after 5:00 a.m., officers reported to Franklin Avenue where they located two people in the rear stairwell of a multi-family home.

Police shared one victim, described as a woman in her 30s, had multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital. The second victim, a male also in his 30s, was deceased from a gunshot wound.

Police are still working on the details but say the two victims were in a relationship.

Franklin Avenue will be closed for an unknown period of time as officials investigate.

As of Sunday morning, the police have provided no further information.

There is no threat to the public.
