Police have made an arrest in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this week in North Miami Beach.
Investigators say 20-year-old Marcuss Treevone Ealy is one of two suspects accused of robbing and shooting a man, identified by family members as Malcolm Johnson Jr., at around 1:00am Tuesday in an industrial area at NW 171st Street and 3rd Avenue.
Surveillance cameras capturing the entire incident.The video shows as the suspects struggle with the victim as they attempt to rob him.
As Johnson Jr. complies and puts his hands up and backs away. Moments later, one of the suspects goes to the car and grabs a gun before firing killing the victim on scene.
The two then jump in their getaway vehicle and flee the scene in a black sedan, leaving the victim to die in the street.
Hollywood Police Officers arrested Ealy on Wednesday in Broward County.
He is being held at the Broward County Jail in Ft. Lauderdale without bond for the open case in Miami-Dade County.
Ealy’s pending charges are possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, murder, fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer, operating without a valid driver’s license, resisting an officer without violence, and grand theft auto.
