An APD Fugitive Investigator was involved in an officer-involved shooting on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 404 Linden Lane in Stockbridge, GA.
The APD Fugitive Unit, GSP, and the US Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force were serving a warrant to take Derrick Rankins, 33, into custody related to a homicide case that occurred on August 20, 2024 at 39 Springside Drive.
Our officer sustained a gunshot wound to the left arm and his injuries are non-life threatening.
