RawNews1st – At approximately 9:00 p.m. officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the area of Tamarack Drive in reference to shots fired.
While canvasing the area officers located a male subject within the 700 block of Tamarack Drive suffering from gunshot wounds.
Cumberland County EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the subject deceased.
Identity of the victim is being withheld until next of kin has been notified.
The Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation. This is an active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
