UPDATE: An 18-year-old is facing a capital murder charge in connection to the shooting death of his own brother, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident happened August 26th in the 500 block of 42nd Street in Fairfield.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found 44-year-old, Corey Waters dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Authorities said when the investigation was complete, warrants were issued for 18-year-old, Arthur Lee Thomas, Jr. The 18-year-old is in custody and he has no bond.
