Those eligible may score up to $300 payments as the brand Grande Cosmetics settled a lawsuit claiming false advertising.
The lawsuit alleged that its lash, brow, and hair products had undisclosed drugs with serious side effect risks.
Grande Cosmetics is a skincare, haircare, and makeup brand selling lash boosters, brow boosters, and more at retailers like Sephora and Ulta.
While the company did not admit any wrongdoing, it did agree to settle for $6.25 million.
To be considered, you must have purchased products from GrandeLASH-MD, GrandeBROW, or GrandeHAIR between January 1, 2018, to December 14, 2023.
The company allegedly failed to tell consumers that its GrandeLASH-MD, GrandeBROW, and GrandeHAIR products contain isopropyl cloprostenate, according to the class action lawsuit.
This is a drug used to treat glaucoma that some claim can cause eye inflammation along with other side effects.
All claims must be filed by February 27, 2024.
Those eligible will score payments of $150 from the settlement, even without proof of purchase.
However, if there is money after all payments are distributed to those eligible, they could get even more.
This means if you’ve purchased two or more Grande products and can provide proof, you may receive an additional payment of $150.
The additional payment would mean eligible folks could receive a total payment of up to $300.
Payments will likely be issued in about one year as the settlement must be approved by the court.
The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for March 13, 2024.
