American hacker claims responsibility for North Korea internet outages
An American hacker says he keeps turning off the internet in North Korea, adding it is retaliation for Pyongyang’s spies cyber-attacking Western security researchers last year.
PX4, as the hacker is known by, says he decided to take matters into his own hands over an apparent lack of action taken over NK attempts to steal hacking tools and discover software vulnerabilities.
“It was pretty interesting to see how easy it was to actually have some effect in there,” he is quoted as saying, adding he plans to continue his campaign to prevent Pyongyang from “hacking the western world unchecked
