An Amber Alert was issued Monday morning for a 12-year-old Jacksonville girl who police say was kidnapped just before 3 a.m. Monday on the city’s Southside.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Fernanda Arias left her home near Beach Boulevard and Peach Drive in a dark-colored vehicle, described as a two-door Honda with a large rear spoiler, possibly being driven by a Hispanic man, JSO said.
The man was later identified as Jorge Reyes, who is considered a suspect in Arias’ kidnapping.
Arias is described as being 4′11 and 100 pounds, with brown, medium-length hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing dark pants and a white shirt.
