Ohio – Amazon Fulfillment Center in West Jefferson where police say there’s an active shooter inside the building.
Police tell reporters they’ve evacuated the building, I’ve been waiting as people and cars leave the area. We understand investigators have ID’d a suspect but they have not been reprimanded at this time.
The Amazon center is now safe according to West Jefferson Police.
They told the suspect fled the scene to an unknown location toward Columbus. I’m waiting for Chief Smith to come back and confirm more details.
Also, Smith told reporters the suspect is an employee at Amazon and they have fled the scene heading toward Columbus.
He says “police did make contact” with the suspect and there were additional shots fired.
No reports of injuries at this time.
