(BRIDGEPORT, CT — May 30th, 2022) Bridgeport police have released the following:
On May 29, 2022 at approximately 7:20 PM, the Bridgeport Police Department received a ShotSpotter activation within the PT Barnum Housing Complex.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a male party suffering from a gunshot wound to his back.
The male party was located on the main driveway within the housing complex. Medics arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

The victim has been identified as a 50-year-old homeless man from Bridgeport Connecticut.
The BPD Detective Bureau has taken charge of the investigation.
An unidentified Black male suspect, wearing a white t-shirt with black and white pants, was captured on video shooting at the victim. The suspect then fled on an electric scooter.
