The incident happened Sunday morning at CrossPointe Community Church, near Glenwood and Newburgh Road.
An active shooter had the tables turned on them by an armed security guard at a church in Wayne, Michigan, (not to be confused with Wayne County) on Sunday morning.
MDCR has learned that the shooting happened at the Crosspointe Community Church which is located 36125 Glenwood Rd.
The active shooter began firing, hitting at least one person in the leg before the armed guard opened fire on the shooter and killed them.
The investigation is ongoing.
