A woman has been arrested, accused of shooting her husband

According to the Roanoke Police Department, officers were first dispatched to a convenience store on Cove Road on Monday for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
As officials investigated the case, they said they identified the suspect as the victim’s wife: 40-year-old Menita Deshay Wright, of Roanoke
The shooting occurred late the night of October 13, 2025, at a convenience store in the 1700 block of Cove Road NW.
Wright was arrested on October 15 and charged with malicious wounding.
