A Tulsa Police officer has been arrested and charged with rape.
The affidavit for DeAngelo Reyes says on June 2nd, a woman reported being raped by an on duty officer.
It says she told them it happened April 17th and she was walking with her dog in the 51st and Yale area when an officer in uniform and marked car approached her, made small talk and got her number.
It says he later called her and went to her hotel room.
It says she told investigators Reyes mentioned he had looked up her criminal history and made a comment that it would be easy to send someone with her record, back to prison.
She told investigators, she was afraid he would fabricate a crime on her and they had sex.
It says body camera footage confirmed the woman’s story about him approaching her and having small talk and was turned off about 60 later.
It says he handled no calls during his 2 final hours of his shift that day and said he was working on reports, but, no reports were submitted by him that day.
It says June 5th, he was put on administrative leave and a warrant was served for his phone.
It says he initially said he approached her because he thought she had information pertinent to a homicide and got her number for follow up and went to her hotel, but denied having sex.
