A teen boy has been charged in connection with an armed carjacking that occurred on Halloween in Chicago’s Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

According to police, the 17-year-old allegedly stole a vehicle from a 50-year-old man at gunpoint in the 7500 block of South Dorchester Avenue around 6 p.m.

He was arrested a day later, just blocks away from the scene of the carjacking.

The adolescent was arrested and charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm and possession of a stolen vehicle.

There was no additional information provided.
