A teacher has been killed & two others seriously injured in a knife attack at a school in France.
Witness say he shouted “Allahu Akbar” during the attack (Per BBC) Yesterday, Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal declared today, Friday the 13th, as a global ‘Day of Jihad’
The attack happened at Gambetta High School in the northern city of Arras just after 11:00 local time (09:00 GMT).
The man killed was a French language teacher and the two injured were another teacher and the campus security guard.
The attacker, a 20-year-old Russian national by the name of Mohamed Mogouchkov, is of Chechen origin and known to authorities for his involvement with radical Islam, according to police.
As a former student at the school, he alarmed teachers with his Islamic radicalism while there. Those red flags were unfortunately not taken seriously enough by authorities.
Another very important update: The attacker’s brother has also been arrested, which suggests authorities believe he may have been about to carry out a separate ‘Day of Rage’ terror attack at an undisclosed location in France.
