On Monday night on Chicago’s West Side, a shootout broke out during an attempted robbery, wounding two men and the 16-year-old boy. The boy was taken into custody.
Around 10 p.m., in the 3800 block of West Roosevelt Road, the teen was allegedly engaged in gunfire with another male who was attempting to rob two men, ages 34 and 50, according to CPD.
Three persons with gunshot wounds were found by the police when they got to the scene.After receiving a gunshot wound to the neck, the 34-year-old man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.
The 50-year-old sustained a wrist wound from a gunshot. To St. Anthony Hospital he was brought. After being shot in the leg, the 16-year-old was taken to Stroger Hospital.
Each of them was listed as being in good shape.
A weapon was found, and the teenager was placed under arrest.
Detectives from Area Four are looking into this.
