RawNews1st – A shooting took place at a Baltimore school. Police say it happened in the school’s parking

Police in Baltimore say they are investigating a shooting that happened Friday afternoon in the parking lot of a high school.

Mayor Brandon Scott, who graduated from the high school, is currently at the crime scene. Photos from the scene show a heavy police presence.

There was an incident at Mervo today during dismissal. Students have been dismissed and afterschool activities at the school are cancelled. City Schools is working with Baltimore City Police Department.

Baltimore City School police said the shooting happened around 3 p.m. shortly after classes ended at 2:35 p.m at Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School.

The school is in the city’s Ednor Gardens-Lakeside section.
