On the inbound Dan Ryan Expressway near 31st Street on Sunday morning, a semi truck spilled 65,000 gallons of fuel.
Around 2:45 a.m., Illinois State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash near the Chinatown feeder ramp.
A semi-truck collided with the right concrete median barrier, causing 10 feet of the wall to collapse.
Some of the concrete remained suspended, while others fell onto the Chinatown feeder ramp.
According to police, the truck then collided with the left median concrete barrier, resulting in the diesel fuel spill.
IDOT arrived on the scene early Sunday morning to repair the wall and remove excess concrete.
At this time, it is unclear what caused the crash.
There were no reported injuries.
Lanes will be closed until the concrete wall can be repaired, according to officials. There is no additional information available.
