Elkhart ISD has reported people on a school bus headed to a football game were injured after the bus flipped and landed in a ditch Friday afternoon.
The bus was carrying high school cheerleaders, headed to a game in Clifton when the crash occurred on Highway 294, near Lake View Methodist Conference Center.
According to Elkhart ISD, some students, sponsors, and the driver were injured. They are being transported to a local hospital.
DPS officials Bill Lockridge said none of the injuries are life-threatening.
Parents have been notified and are arriving on the scene to pick up their student, said Elkhart ISD.
Officials say to avoid this area.
