A remote-controlled ground robot to hold frontline positions against Russian: Ukraine
The Ukrainian 3rd Army Corps said its troops used a remote-controlled ground robot to hold frontline positions against Russian forces for 45 consecutive days.
The uncrewed vehicle, called the Droid TW 12.7, is armed with a .50-caliber M2 Browning machine gun and was operated remotely by the Third Assault Brigade.
The corps said the ground drone suppressed Russian advances with sustained machine-gun fire while operators controlled it from a safe location.
Ukrainian officials said Russian forces failed to infiltrate or capture the position during the deployment.
The military added that the mission was completed with zero Ukrainian casualties.
