DC Police and emergency vehicles converged around Union Station Friday afternoon after a shooting nearby on Massachusetts Avenue, Northeast.

Police stressed on social media that the shooting did not occur at Union Station.

When they arrived at the scene, near the intersection with North Capitol Street around 4:15 p.m., police found a teenager who had been shot. They say the teen was conscious and breathing when he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
