A mother shot and killed her 6-year-old son with a deer rifle.
Thanksgiving Day, 2021, Mary Rosborough came home from a hunting trip where she had shot a doe. About an hour after arriving home, Rosborough used a .243 caliber rifle and shot her son, Jase.
Rosborough tried to reload the gun but was tackled by her brother.
While being restrained by her brother, Rosborough made a statement saying, “she wanted to send him to heaven”.
Rosborough has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Police have not been able to determine a motive and are actively investigating the case.
