On Wednesday morning, a man was found shot to death outside a home in Gary, Indiana.
Around 7:40 a.m., Gary police responded to the 500 block of Chase Street for a gunshot victim.
Soon after, police received a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Taney Place, about a block away from the initial call.
On Chase Street, officers discovered a Black man with a gunshot wound. The Lake County Coroner’s Office pronounced him dead at the scene.
The suspects fled on foot, and a K9 unit tracked several people of interest to a nearby residence.
At this time, no additional information is available. Gary Metro Homicide is looking into the case.
