Deputies say a man accused of molestation, fled to Florida for a time, but, then returned.
The affidavit for Nicholas Jett says he’s accused of molesting a girl he knows, last November.
It says he told the girl to keep it a secret or he would get into trouble with law enforcement.
It says the girl reported it, but the person she told, decided to send Jett out of town, rather than report it to law enforcement.
It says when Jett came back, the adult who knew about it, tried to make sure Jett and the victim weren’t alone together.
It says Jett told investigators when the incident happened, he thought he was dreaming and when he realized it was not a dream, he decided not to tell anyone about it.
He told investigators he went to Florida because once a person is arrested for a crime like this, it’s hard to get a job.
The affidavit says he showed remorse and wrote an apology letter to the victim.
