According to the statement, the four businesses sold alcohol to a minor who was working with the Southern District Police in Eilat under their Youth Division.

Spotted at a commercial center in broad daylight, they were arrested and searched by officers who found the suspects in possession of drugs not intended for personal use and a large sum of money.

Both suspects, residents of central Israel, are in their 30s. They faced a remand hearing later on Tuesday and were detained in custody.

In other suspected drug-related offenses, four Eilat businesses were exposed for selling alcohol to minors in an undercover operation that included the use of an underage operative, police revealed on Monday.

“During the operation, a minor was recruited as an undercover agent and supervised by the police. The agent attempted to purchase alcohol from various businesses around the city,” the statement read.

Additionally, an undercover agent led to the arrest of over 50 weapons and drug traffickers in July.

The undercover agent, codenamed “The Nobleman,” worked with Lahav 433 over the past year to gather evidence against over 50 suspects involved in weapons and cocaine trafficking worth thousands of shekels.

The agent, a civilian, was recruited to target criminals who were involved across Israel. Lahav 433 helped him carry out more than 30 controlled and monitored transactions, such as the purchase of 18 pistols, three M16 rifles, and over 1.5 kg. of cocaine, the police said.
