A couple wakes up to find intruder in their bedroom: Warren Township

A Lansing man as been arrested and is facing charges after investigators said he broke into a house in Warren Township.
On Monday, Oct. 13, the sheriff’s office said Premo was arraigned in the 75th District Court on these charges:
- Home Invasion 1st degree
- Breaking and entering a building with intent
- Possession of burglar’s tools
- Larceny in a building
- Breaking and entering vehicle to steal property less than $200
The sheriff’s office said Premo is currently being housed at the Midland County Jail on a $250,000 cash/surety bond.
The Midland County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched Sunday, Oct. 12 at 12:16 a.m. after reports of a home invasion in progress.
The sheriff’s office said the victims, a 30-year-old Coleman man and 26-year-old Coleman woman awoke to find a man in their bedroom.
The Coleman man was able to contain the suspect, Nicholas Premo, in the garage while waiting for law enforcement, the sheriff’s office said.
