Saturday morning, a CCL holder shot two men during a possible car theft attempt in the Loop.
Around 3:37 a.m., a man, 31, was walking towards his parked car near the 0-100 block of West Randolph Street when an unknown individual in a red SUV began firing shots in his direction.
The man, who had a FOID and a CCL, drew his weapon and began firing back.
According to police, the car fled the scene, and another individual exited the man’s car and fled the scene.
The two 22-year-old men in the SUV self-transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition, where one was shot in the left knee and the other in the buttocks. They were both taken into custody.
The third person has not yet been apprehended.
The CCL holder was unharmed. The incident is being investigated by police.
