Merseyside Police were called to Lime Street in the city centre at 6.30pm on Friday, August 25, to reports of a bus fire.
Officers arrived at the scene as well as firefighters from Merseyside Fire & Rescue service.
Dramatic pictures and videos shared with the ECHO showed flames coming from the top of the bus before firefighters extinguished the blaze.
No injuries have been reported to police.
