Oklahoma – A 3-year-old boy was hit in the leg by what is believed to be a stray bullet.

At approximately 8:50 PM, Tulsa Police Officers responded to a shooting near 4600 North Boulder Avenue.

During the incident, a 3-year-old boy was hit in the leg by what is believed to be a stray bullet.

Initial investigations revealed that witnesses heard multiple gunshots coming from a residence to the north.

The child’s grandfather was in his front yard when he heard the shots and then immediately heard his grandson crying. Upon checking, he found that the child had been shot in the leg and also saw a bullet hole in his Jeep.

The grandmother, who was in her car at the time, rushed to help when she heard the commotion and quickly called 911.

Fortunately the wound was a graze and EMSA and Tulsa Fire Department treated the child on-site before transporting him to the hospital, where he is expected to make a full recovery.

Officers conducted a thorough search of the area and located several 9mm shell casings.

Despite canvassing the neighborhood and reaching out to residents, we don’t have any suspect information at this time.

We’re super lucky that this child didn’t lose his life. If you have any information, please report it!
