A 2-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital Tuesday after he was ejected from an ATV, deputies said.

Alexandria Loomis was driving the ATV around 12:51 p.m. on Koenig Road in the town of Floyd when she lost control and crossed over the roadway, Oneida County deputies said in a news release.

Loomis and the boy were thrown from the ATV, deputies said. Loomis was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center by an ambulance for a medical evaluation and treatment, they said.

The boy was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital for serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries, deputies said.
