In Chicago last month, a 16-year-old was accused of committing two carjackings while armed.
Chicago police said the juvenile, whose identity was not disclosed, was arrested on December 18 after being named as a suspect in the carjacking of a couple in Lawndale on December 15.
Police say a 39-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man were carjacked at gunpoint from the 1400 block of South Trumbull Avenue with their three children, all of whom were younger than 16 at the time.
Police say the teen also robbed a man, 25, and another man, 30, on the 1400 block of South Trumbull Avenue on December 30. The boy allegedly robbed the men at gunpoint, taking their belongings and vehicle.
He’s been charged with ten felonies, including armed robbery, carjacking, and carjacking with a minor in the vehicle.
In the meantime, they have no new details to share.
