RawNews1st – The Suffolk County Police Department is reminding parents to check their children’s Halloween candy after a student at an East Setauket junior high school found a blade in her candy.
A 13-year-old female found a blade in a 3 Musketeers bar on November 3 and her mother reported it to police. The teen had been trading candy with classmates at Paul J. Gelinas Junior High School since Halloween.
Police are asking residents to make sure adults are present when children open candy they received from trick or treating, especially in Stony Brook and Setauket.
