Russian investigators have zeroed in on a Moscow-based couple who were members of a Satanist sect over allegations of the murder of two people as “human sacrifices” to the devil.
Russian investigators are probing a Moscow-based couple who were members of a Satanist sect over allegations of the murder of two people as “human sacrifices” to the devil.
According to the investigators, Olga and Andrei met over their mutual interest in a “religious and mystical movement of Satan worshippers, which involves rituals with human sacrifice.”
The accused, identified as Olga Bolshakova and Andrei Tregubenko, are wanted on charges of ritual murder and drug trafficking.
Fantasy turned into reality for the couple when they lured an acquaintance — their sacrificial target — into a forest in the northern republic of Karelia, and stabbed her. The woman died on the spot from the stab wounds.
Investigators traced the couple’s involvement in another murder case in a town north of St Petersburg.
The male victim chosen for the Satanic ritual was first beaten up and then stabbed with a knife.
Citing Mash news channel, the AFP report said the pair was arrested earlier this month.
The woman accused, Olga, has cut a deal with investigators and admitted to her involvement in the ritual killings.
During investigation, cops found a huge quantity of drugs at the couple’s home in a Moscow suburb.
