A suspect has been identified and is now wanted for firing a shot after being honked at near USC Upstate on Monday afternoon.
It happened at the intersection of Saint John Street and North Liberty Street in Spartanburg.
Alexander James Murphy is accused of pulling out a gun and firing it once in the air. Police say he then pointed the weapon towards the driver before taking off on foot.
It caused a brief lockdown of the George Dean School Business (USC Upstate Downtown Campus).
Murphy is wanted for Assault and Battery, Pointing and Presenting, Unlawful Carry, and Breach of Peace.
