Tennessee – Police is Shelbyville, Tennessee police say 14-year-old boy was shot in the parking lot of Duck River Laundry just after 9 p.m. Monday.
They believe the shooting was a case of mistaken identity. Israel Diego Pascual — a freshman at Shelbyville Central High School — was doing laundry with his family, when police say a man then ran up and shot him multiple times.
“There was no reason why he should’ve been a victim. He was not a high risk victim or someone who was involved in criminal activity,” said Deputy Chief Brian Crews.
Police now say they believe they’ve identified the shooter as Horatio Lewis Rice and “warrants are on file for his arrest for the charge of first-degree murder.”
