Thirty-one-year-old Toni Arnold has been arrested for the murder of her mother, 48-year-old Sherry Birmingham.
According to the news release, the murder took place on Aug. 16.
“At approximately 10:08 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Washington Boulevard to investigate a report of gunfire heard in the area,” reads the release. “When officers arrived at the location, they discovered Birmingham laying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where she was pronounced dead by medical personnel.”
Arnold was arrested on Sept. 10 after an investigation and a warrant was obtained. She is officially charged with first-degree murder, and the news of this charge was announced on Sept. 14.
Arnold is currently being held at Central Booking.
