JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on multiple charges after a weekend standoff.
Just before 10:00 p.m. Friday, sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call from 14081 Q. Road in rural Jackson, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
The caller reported that the man at the residence allegedly was intoxicated and fired a weapon a number of times from the residence.
A woman at the home was able to escape the residence without serious injury. The heavily armed suspect later identified as Daniel Charles Carlow, 63, of Hoyt fled the residence into an adjacent wooded area.
Deputies encountered Carlow and a standoff ensued. After law enforcement negotiated with him for a period of time, Carlow surrendered to law enforcement.
Deputies booked Carlow into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of aggravated assault, aggravated assault on law enforcement, battery of law enforcement, criminal threat, felony interference with law enforcement, domestic battery, disorderly conduct and possession of a stolen firearm, according to Morse.
