A chaotic scene unfolded at a CarMax dealership in Inglewood on Saturday when an enraged customer plowed his car through the showroom, injuring multiple customers and employees.
The incident occurred around 2:10 p.m. at the CarMax on the 8600 block of South La Cienega Boulevard.
According to CarMax, the customer had been at the dealership for a vehicle appraisal. Witnesses say he became furious after receiving an unsatisfactory offer, then stormed back to his parked car.
Moments later, after a few failed attempts, he accelerated straight through the dealership’s glass entrance.
At least eight people were injured in the crash. The Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that two victims suffered critical injuries and were transported to the hospital, while six others sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
