
A Tulsa homeless man Cameron Lynn has now been sentenced to life plus 10 years in federal court for murder and assault with a dangerous weapon.
February 24th, 2024, Alcides Monroig was shot and killed and another victim was shot in the stomach, but lived.
They had been asleep when Lynn approached their encampment and he started going through their belongings, saying, he was looking for his stuff.
They shined a flashlight and told him to leave, but, he refused and fired shots at both their tents, before running off.
Lynn ran off and cut off his hair and beard to try to change his appearance.
He initially claimed self-defense and also claimed it was his brother who had done the shooting.
It went to jury trial and he was found guilty.
This is now a conviction.
