The announcement comes as the 26-year-old Florida rapper and singer, known for his hits “Heart on Ice” and “Street Runner,” has shelved the entire upcoming leg of his “Last Lap” tour.
He had recently performed at Little Caesars Arena in mid-November, though that leg of the tour was also plagued by cancelations.
Wave said on Instagram he’s been dealing with health issues while also blaming production, saying the stage and lighting weren’t “built right.” “It’s not fair to me or to yall to get a half done show,” he wrote.
“It just wasn’t makin’ any sense,” he said, adding, “I never missed a show for nothing personally ever in my life.”
Wave also said he’s been bothered recently by a foot and ankle injury, and he posted a picture of the pills he’s taking to help with the pain.
He told fans he plans to return to the road in the near future. Saturday’s concert was set to feature openers Moneybagg Yo, Toosii, Lil Poppa and Dess Dior.
