Purdue football freshman safety Antonio Parker was dismissed from the team after his arrest last week in Warren County by Indiana State Police.
Parker was arrested Jan. 20 and later charged with dealing marijuana, reckless driving and speeding by the Warren County Prosecutor, according to court documents.
Parker was scheduled to have his initial hearing Monday but failed to appear for his hearing in Warren Circuit Court, according to court documents. He posted a $200 cash bond on the date of the arrest.
Parker faces three charges, possession with intent to deal in marijanua, weight between 30 grams-10 pounds, a Level 6 felony, reckless driving at an unreasonable high or low speed so to endanger safety, a misdemeanor, and a speeding infraction.
Further details of the arrest were not immediately available.
First-year Purdue coach Barry Odom dismissed Parker from the team, and then Parker entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal, a team spokesperson said. He had enrolled in classes earlier this month and was on campus as a member of the 2025 signing class.
“In this program, we hold our student-athletes to a high standard of conduct,” Odom said through the spokesperson.
