TheSun.com – Fedra Oded Gaxiola Orozco, 24, was gunned down in broad daylight while sitting in her black Mercedes Benz yesterday.
Orozco was outside the Hardcore Fitness Gym in the López Lucio neighbourhood of Tijuana, Mexico, when she tragically lost her life.
The killer approached the car at about 8.35am and shot several times through the window and the car door before fleeing.
An ambulance took Orozco to a hospital, but she sadly could not be saved.
Witnesses at the scene said the shooters fled aboard a grey Chevrolet HHR vehicle with cops now launching a manhunt for the killers.
Miguel Ángel Gaxiola Rodríguez, a homicide unit prosecutor, indicated the line of investigation points to a suspect who acted alone and targeted the woman.
There have been no detainees so far and the investigation is ongoing.
Fedra Gaxiola was a model and influencer, originally from the state of Sinaloa, in northwestern Mexico.
She had over 200,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok and collaborated with sportswear and aesthetic clothing brands.
It comes after influencer Vielka Pulido and her boyfriend were shot dead outside a gym in Mexico earlier this year.
Horror CCTV showed a gunman open fire at the couple after pulling up in a car next to their white BMW.
The thug continued to pump bullets after stepping out of the grey Hyundai – killing Vielka and her partner, named locally as Joel Abraham Chavez.
Shocked bystanders could be seen running for safety as the first of 26 bullets said to have been fired rang out.
The couple could be seen walking to their car as the gunman’s vehicle crawled along the road.
Police in the Mexican city of Puebla are believed to be working on the theory Vielka’s boyfriend, 21, could have been the intended target.
The shooting occurred outside a gym called Beats Fitness Centre in the neighbourhood of Santa Cruz Buenavista.
Vielka, who called herself La Bendi on social media and advertised perfumes and beauty treatments on online shops she ran, was found dead inside the couple’s car when police reached the scene.
Local reports have described her as a “collateral victim”.
A spokesman for state prosecutors in Puebla said: “We are investigating this incident as a priority to try to resolve it as soon as possible and bring those responsible to justice.
