A Glenpool woman and her live-in boyfriend are charged with child neglect, accused of taping her 9 year old daughter inside her bedroom overnight and while they went to work 45 minutes away, with no access to food, water, a bathroom or a way to get help in an emergency.
The affidavit for Allyson O’Neal and Deven Moore says it happened in June and was discovered after the child escaped and went to a convenience store 2 blocks away.
It says when police went to the home, they saw the tape on the door frame and noticed there was nothing in the room, but a mattress and a blanket.
It says the child got into trouble for leaving her room and was grounded, so they took all the clothing, furniture, toys, decorations, dresser and bed frame out of the room.
It says Moore admitted smashing the girl’s tablet with a hammer and making her watch and making her watch as he gave away her Nintendo Switch to a neighbor child.
It says the girl said he had also broken other toys in the past as punishment.
It says both O’Neal and Moore admitted to the things the girl said.
The girl was placed with a relative.
These are charges, not convictions.
